What is a Stella Novella?

Stella Minonas is a Greek-American living in Florida who has written her first novella, For My Country. If you are unfamiliar with a "novella", it is generally considered between 17,000 - 40,000 words, shorter than a novel, longer than a short story. What makes Stella Novella's different from other novellas or novels, besides the content? 30% of the author revenues are donated to charity. The charity choice is explained at the end of the novella.

For My Country

It's WWII and a beautiful young French widow is doing what she must do in occupied France. The town of Sisteron is controlled by German Captain Eric Schmitt, who has taken her as his girlfriend. She assumes that will be her life until she meets a French Canadian spy and the romance and adventure ensue.

CHARITIES
Our charities of choice are NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness), and Feeding America. Mental health conditions typically begin during childhood, adolescence or young adulthood. NAMI gets people the support they need. The Feeding America network is the nation’s largest domestic hunger-relief organization, working to connect people with food and end hunger. Therefore, while 30% of author revenues go to charity, half of that will go to Feeding America and the other half will go to NAMI. You can help by visiting www.nami.org and www.feedingamerica.org. Both groups still needing funds to continue their mission.
Please check out these and other charities and if you can give financially, please do so; otherwise, they also need volunteers. If nothing else you can get more information on the vaulable work these organizations do and the problems they address.
